Vietnam has seen strong economic development over the past years with 6.8% GDP growth in 2017. The Nikkei Manufacturing PMI in Vietnam inched up to 53.5 in February of 2018 from 53.4 in a month earlier. Also, purchasing activity went up sharply and employment continued to rise.

With the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement scheduled to be ratified in 2018, Vietnam is expected to see an influx of European investors and companies aiming to trade with Vietnam. There is also an increased interest in Vietnam for “China+1” regional strategies of European enterprises.

Mr. Carlo Diego D’Andrea

Degree in Law at the Universita’ degli Studi in Teramo (Italy), Master post Lauream in Corporate Advisor at LUISS Rome, Chinese Diploma at Nanjing Normal University, Admitted to the Italian Bar Association. Mr. D’Andrea arrived in Chine in 2005 and began his career in one of the most important Italian law firm in Nanjing. Since a few years ago Mr. D’Andrea has been leading his own company in Shanghai – D’Andrea&Partners – a boutique law firm that has become a point of reference as well as a well-established entity in the international legal profession. D’Andrea&Partners serves foreign as well as Chinese companies with the ambition to globalize themselves in a worldwide economy while focusing on Asia and Europe.

Mr. D’Andrea, Attorney at law, is fluent in Italian (mother tongue), English, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. He joined the board of the Shanghai Chapter of the European Chamber in 2014 and since May 2017 he is the Chairman of the Shanghai Board.

Almut has been in Vietnam for nearly 8 year and has been leading the EuroCham secretariat since March 2015. Previously, she was based in Hanoi where she managed the national representation of Xella, a German sustainable building solutions provider between 2010-2015. Before, she worked in consultancy and management positions in several companies Europe (Austria, Germany, and Ireland) and China.

Mr. Hao Zhou

Hao Zhou currently serves as Senior Emerging Markets Economist at Commerzbank Singapore, covering economics research and FX strategy for the North Asia region.
Prior to this role, he spent eight years with ANZ banking group as senior China economist based in Shanghai. 
He is a consultant for China’s State Council and Monetary Policy Committee of People’s Bank of China. He is also a senior fellow of China Chief Economist Forum. Hao appears regularly on global media, and has presented at numerous investor conferences.
Hao was awarded Economist of the Year (2017) by China Business News and also top China forecaster according to Bloomberg survey (2016, 2017).

Ms. Milena Strathmann


Ms. Milena Strathmann

Milena Strathmann studied Chinese at the University of Business and Economics, Beijing, and law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich, and the Freie University, Berlin. She made her legal clerkship in Berlin, Hamburg ana Cape Town .

Before joining SNB,she gathered professional experience in a well-known Genman law firm, a well-known international law firm and in the China holding of a German automotive manufacturer.

Ms. Strathmann has been also admitted by the Vietnamese justice department as a foreign practicing lawyer in Vietnam. She works in the SNB office in HCMC for two years now.

She speaks German, English and has knowledge in Chinese and Vietnamese.

Mr. Marcello Caione

Mr. Marcello Caione joined D’Andrea & Partners in 2017, first working at their Head Quarters in Shanghai and since March has been covering the operations of the Firm in Vietnam, assisting chiefly Italian Industrial Groups interested in investing in Vietnam.
D&P, in Vietnam, has two offices, one in Ho Chi Minh City and one in Hanoi, where Marcello is mainly based.
Marcello has been studying law at Roma Tre University and at Shanghai International Studies University.

Mr. Hans  Kerstens

Hans Kerstens obtained a Master in commercial sciences at EHSAL in Brussels Belgium, with a specialization in finance and risk management.

After his graduation, he started his career with KatoenNatie, a large Belgium logistics and supply chain company. At KatoenNatie he was responsible for starting up new flows and entities. He has experienced in this field in Europe, US and Asia. 

Hans has been in Asia for more than 5 years now. Currenlty he is working for DEEP C Industrial Zones in Vietnam since early 2016 where is he in charge of the sales department.
